Our Story

The Start Of Something Special

Welcome to Medowie Community Preschool. A place where new beginnings and a lifelong love of learning start.

Established in 1984, Medowie Community Preschool began at the local community hall.

We believe that the early years are a time for nurturing curiosity, fostering creativity, and building the foundations for lifelong learning.

Our community preschool offers a warm, safe, and supportive environment where children aged 3 to 5 can explore, discover, and grow at their own pace.

Encouraging Holistic Growth

At Medowie Community Preschool, we celebrate the unique potential of every child.

We are dedicated to nurturing resilience and independent thinking, helping them grow into confident members of our community.

Our curriculum is thoughtfully designed by experienced educators, inspired by global best practices, and aligned with Australia’s National Quality Framework and the Early Years Learning Framework.

Our Philosophy

Our Vision for Lifelong Learning

We believe all children should experience engaging learning opportunities that pave the way for lifelong success.

A Warm and Nurturing Environment

We create a nurturing and secure environment that supports children's growth and well-being. We view families as a child’s primary teachers and aim to foster relationships built on respect, trust, and open communication.

Acknowledgment of Country

We acknowledge that our preschool is located on the land of the Worimi people. We pay our respects to their elders—past, present, and emerging. and their continued connection and care for the land, sea and our community.

Our program incorporates Aboriginal perspectives to foster children’s understanding of First Nations people.

Individualised Learning Through Play

We celebrate each child's uniqueness and partner with families to create a fun, play-based learning environment. Our focus on sustainability encourages children to care for the planet and grow into responsible individuals.
